Asset Management System for Interurban Roads

This Asset Management System project was meant to enhance the capabilities of an existing Road Management System in Mozambique known as HNMS (Highway Network Management System). The project included the creation of a new Bridge Management System for about 2000 bridges in Mozambique, data collection for HNMS, economic evaluation of the roads with several alternatives for road treatment. The data collection was done using sophisticated equipment, such as the Falling Weight Deflectometer, laser profilometer for measuring roughness and rutting, GPS data collection for creating a GIS map.
