The 431 Road Railway is an electric rail project from Rishon Lezion to Jerusalem. The project to lay the track along Road 431 extends along a 30 km route, which includes bridges and tunnels, as well as upgrading and extending platforms at Rishonim Railway Station. In addition, three tunnels will be built 20 meters below Road 20, the longest of which will be 450 meters. The project includes a double track along the entire route. In the eastern part of the route there will be three railway interchanges, nine bridges and a tunnel. In the western part of the route, a 3.5 km long bridge is planned, a tunnel that will pass under the Mevo Ayalon interchange and a tunnel that will pass under Rabin Street in Rishon Lezion. A new train station called “Ein Sorek Station” will also be built.
