The eastern railway extends for about 65 km in the eastern coastal plain, from the coastal railway in the area of ​​Pardes Hanna, Hadera East, Ahituv, Kfar Saba, Ben Gurion Airport to Lod.

The Eastern Railway Project is a national project for the construction of a new railway line in Eastern Israel.

As part of the project, Road 444 will be built from Ahituv to Road 57 parallel to the track.

Section A, is spread between the connection to the coastal track in the north, west of the settlements of Pardes Hanna – Karkur to the Shchem River to the south.

The project includes 23 road structures along its length:

– 17 bridges: which include road bridges or agricultural roads over the railway route, railway bridges over a river, a railway bridge over national infrastructure.

– 2 underground passages.

– 4 service rooms.

Section B is spread between the Nitzanei Oz interchange and continues to the Hemed junction. The length of this section is 20 km and includes the construction of a double track, three road bridges, five agricultural bridges, an agricultural crossing under the track and four track bridges over the streams.
