Timna Airport near Eilat

This new airport, located 19 kms north of Eilat, is meant to replace the original Eilat airport currently located in the centre of town. Its runways are about 3.5 kms in length, and will include a new aircraft control tower, and an expansive terminal. The airport will have facilities for wide-bodied and midsized airplanes, operational areas, commerce, new accessways and parking lots. As part of this project Road No. 90 (known as the Arava road) will be widened from 2 lanes to 4 lanes between Timna and Eilat. TNM was in charge of quality control, including earthworks, fencing, water infrastructure, firefighting facilities and drainage.
