Asset Management in PPP – Botswana

This World Bank project is one of the first of its kind – incorporating the principles of Asset Management of an existing road network (about 900 kilometres) in Southern Botswana within the framework of a Public Private Partnership (PPP). The project included technical assistance on a wide scale, creation of PPP tenders based on performance-based requirements, data collection using specialized equipment, conceptual design, economic evaluation using World Bank HDM-4 and RED programs, financial modelling, risk analysis, and creation and evaluation of bidding documents.
